Forest Lake Baptist Church – Nehemiah’s Coffee House

After the devastating tornado, this 2,980 SF project for Forest Lake Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama was envisioned as a vibrant meeting place for the Church’s youth and college ministry.  On the site of the damaged parsonage, the 1,490 SF downstairs featured a coffee shop atmosphere with high-top tables, comfortable seating groups, TVs and a large coffee counter.  The 1,490 SF upstairs served as a 2 bedroom, 1 bath residence for the youth minster and his family.  The exterior sought to blend into the Church campus with red brick and white painted wood accents while still having the feel of a retail building that would appeal to the young people of the church.
